Today I am sharing a card I created for the Split Coast stampers color challenge #714, Vanilla, Merlot and Under a Shady Spruce. I used Fun Stampers Journey colors Butter Cream, Pomegranate Splash and Kiwi Slice.

For this challenge I chose to use one of the coffee cups and sentiments form the Coffee Helps stamp set and I stamped it in Pomegranate Splash ink.

I added shading to the cup using my Journey Color Burst pencils to make the coffee cup pop out of the card. Don't you love the little sprig of greenery I added under the coffee cup to make it festive? I also added texture to the background by embossing it with the Cozy Knit embossing folder.

I combined Butter Cream with Oatmeal Cookie with a hint of Brushed Gold to create the vintage feel of this card. Throw in some texture with the Cozy Knit embossing folder and you have a beautiful card to share!

Today I am sharing a card I created in my Coloring Your Creative Journey Subscription Group. Coloring Your Creative Journey is all about coloring with my favorite pencils ever, Journey Color Burst pencils. These pencils are so smooth and creamy, you will think you went to heaven! Ok, enough about the pencils and onto the card!

How cute is this deer?!!! and check out the shaker elements! That little tree die cut comes form the Special Day Tags Die set. I have been playing with all of the different tags in this set, but none of my ideas worked, don't you hate that? I mean, I just had to have this die, and then when I want to incorporate it into a card, I just couldn't make it work like I wanted.... that was until yesterday! I think I might have been over thinking it.

Today's creative share is a monochromatic Christmas card inspired by wardrobe perusing on Pinterest last night. I have always loved those big cream colored fisherman sweaters and now the buffalo plaid that everyone is wearing has me swooning also. That led me to the creation of this card.

I paired the sweater texture and buffalo plaid with the Sparkle Trim stamp set. I must confess that this set has been in my stash for a complete year and I had not inked it up. Now that I have inked it up, you might be seeing it a lot more!

This morning I would like to share a whimsical card we created yesterday in my online Coloring your Creative Journey Subscription group. The subscription fee is $9.95 per month and we meet each Wednesday online to learn and practice using our Color Burst Pencils.

This month we are using the Merry Everything stamp set and 5 different color swatches to color it with. I chose the stockings for yesterday's class. We started by stamping the 3 stockings randomly on a 4 x 5-1/4 sheet of cardstock. When you are creating a background image like this, make sure to rotate you stamps and to let some of the images hang off the paper.

I love a bargain, I mean who doesn't? That's why when I get email for sales and clearance crafty items, I click on them and go window shopping... and I have to confess, I sometimes grab a few items. Last month I found a bunch of cute stamps that I grabbed and wanted to share one of them with you.

I mean really, who could resist this cute little guy??! It is from Unity Stamps and is called Candy Cane to Go.

I colored him with my Color Burst Pencils- those are the regular pencils not the watercolor ones, and guess what? I only used 3 pencils that I will list below.

Remember when I said I was going to show my stash some love.... well today I visited my die cut collection! Don't you just love that striped die cut? It is a FSJ one that I have had for a while and wanted to show some love. Oh, and those holly leaves, also from FSJ.

It's amazing what you find when you start looking...

Today I want to share a card, well 2 cards I made using the Merry Everything stamp set and the Cozy Prints paper pack. Both cards use the same images, same patterned paper, and same color scheme, the only difference is one is a vertical card and one is a horizontal card.

I had colored the deer and tree for my online subscription group, Coloring Your Creative Journey , and wanted to show them how you could use the same colored image with both vertical and horizontal cards.

I think I prefer the horizontal one the best, which one do you prefer?

Today's creative share is a card I created using the FSJ Christmas Sprig and my Journey Color Splash Pencils.

The Christmas Sprig stamp is becoming one of my favorite holiday stamps this year! What's not to love? Today I combined it with my Color Burst Watercolor pencils. I tried the no line watercoloring with this card. What's that, you ask?

No-line watercoloring is when you stamp the image either with Clear Pigment Ink or with a lighter color of ink then the image is going to be colored with. I stamped both of the poinsettias with Oatmeal Cookie ink so that once I began to add the color, the stamped lines are not visible. You should try it!

Howdy!

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. We had a busy and productive weekend here at the Bristow house. Friday evening we went to 2 different Halloween events to judge costumes, a kids carnival and adult Halloween costume party. I have to admit, it was hard to pick favorites, all of the costumes where great! Saturday and Sunday where spent working on the house. Two long days where you can't see a lot of the progress because most of it was electrical, but we have moved the kitchen door to the garage over about 4 feet to make room for a refrigerator. Ok, enough about the weekend and on to the creative fun.

Today's share is a Christmas card using another one of the Santa's from the Art Gone Wild set Santa Cube.
