Make it Monday: Glass Bloom Birthday

This week I am adding a new theme to my Monday Blog post, "Make it Monday". Each Monday I will post a card with the directions so that you can make it at Home!  I will also have the pre-stamped kit available in my Etsy shop!

This week's project is a elegant birthday card.

I used the rose and pansies from the Glass Blooms set to create a beautiful corner focal point.  The great thing about this card is that you can change up the colors to make it unique for whom ever you are giving it to.

I started by stamping the rose  in the bottom right corner.

To get the pansies behind the rose, I used a technique called masking.  You stamp your foreground image onto a scrap of paper(I use a post it note so there is some sticky to hold it in place).

Then you cut around your sticky note image.  You place the sticky not image on top of the image in your card and stamp everything you want in the back ground on top of the sticky note.

After you are finished stamping, you remove your mask to reveal your layered image!

I just love this technique because it gives your cards depth with out having to add layers!

You may purchase the supplies from my Fun Stampers Journey page
Here are the measurements, stamps, inks, and embellishments I used to create this card:

2 for Tuesday: Hello Puddles

Happy Tuesday everyone!  This week's 2 for Tuesday is featuring the stamp set, Hello Puddles SS-0251.

I posted this card from the FSJ blog last week over on my Facebook page. It is so stinking cute!!!  Everyone loved it, so I decided that it would go in this week's Tuesday post.

This is my card that I created with the Hello Puddles set.

Same stamp set, just a little twist in the card.  I combined it with the Spring parade 6x6 paper pad and the Linked Dots stamp SS -0051.  I also broke out my brand new die set, Border Basics DI- 0144.... Love it!  You know what else I love that I used on this card?!!!

These cute little Rainbow drops!!! ( AC-0178).  My friend Lori loves these drops- I keep having to check her purse when she comes over to make sure she hasn't taken my box!- not really but it's a running joke with us.

Hope you enjoyed this post,
~Cindy~

Glass Blooms Get Well Soon

Today I am sharing another card from the February Bloom Box kit.  If you haven't signed up for the February kit, you still have time!!!  Other wise you will have to wait 3 months to create this Beautiful card!

I love how Richard used the stripes velum in this card!  I don't know about you, but I always struggle with what to do with velum.  Once I use it, I always love the effect it gives.

The rose bud stamp in this set is to die for!  Being a person who adores coloring,  I have visions of cards made with Ruby Red roses, Soft Pink Roses.... The possibilities are endless!

I hope you enjoyed today's card, and remember you still have time to grab this great Bloom Box set!

See you tomorrow for 2 for Tuesday!

Summer Garden Birthday

Happy Friday everyone!
Today I am sharing a Birthday card I made using the Summer Garden set.

I have had this set on my wish list for almost a year and finally brought it home!!!  Don't you just love using a new stamp set?!!!  Plus it was one I got to color! Best day ever!

I absolutely adore how it looks layered on the Ornate die with the pierced detailing. I think, no I know that the piercing dies are one of my all time favorite items that FSJ offers.  I even used the Rectangle piercing element on this card!

I created the patterned paper by inking up the Whimsey Wallpaper stamp with Lemongrass.   I added the Bloom Time sequins just to add that final touch and give it some sparkle!  I know that any Birthday girl would feel like a Princess when she received this Beautiful card!

Thanks for stopping by,
~Cindy~

Two for Tuesday Glass Blooms

Wow, what a difference a day makes!  Yesterday we had 24 degrees and snow, today is 43 and rain!  Still not Spring, but I will take it!

I am going to start something new here on Tuesdays, something I like to call 2 for Tuesday.  I will take 1 stamp and show you 2 different cards using that same stamp.

Yesterday I showed you this card from February's Bloom Box using the dragonfly stamp.

Today I created this card using the same layout and a similar color scheme.

I wanted to show you that you can copy the Bloom Box cards and only change the colors to create cards that are fast and easy when you need a card quick!

On the second card I created today, I used a totally different layout and color scheme.  It is still a quick and easy card!  I mask off a center strip, sponged 3 colors of coordinating ink; Pineapple Smoothie, Pretty Amethyst, and Lavender Fusion.

I removed the masking tape, stamped the sentiment  and dragonflies, flicked some Gold Silk, used my Gold Shimmer Splash to paint their wings and added Journey Glaze and Sparkle dust for extra shimmer.

Remember  that the Glass Blooms set is only available now in the February Bloom Box.  If you don't get it this month, you will have to wait 3 months until it is available to non Bloom Box members!

Thanks for stopping by,
