Cupcake Joy

Today I put another twist on Yummy &Delicious cupcake stamp set.

I combined it with the Snapshot Frames die set to create a Christmas card.  I like to get a lot of bang for my buck when I buy stamps, so if I can uses a stamp that screams birthday for other uses, I go for it!

I plan on using this stamp set for all the holidays thru out the year.  I challenge you to pull out your Yummy and Delicious set and show me some holiday creations!  Leave you pictures in a comment, or post them to my Cindy's Creative Journey Facebook page !

Merry and Bright Gift Card Envelope

I always need gift card holders around the holidays.  This year I wanted to create something a little different then your standard gift card holder.

I used a small paper bag and Fun Stampers Journey Winter Fresh paper pack PP-0018 to create this fun project.

There is a pocket for a gift card (or tag) and a larger pocket in the back for some more goodies!  These gift card holders would also work for co-workers gifts, a cookie in the back and a hot chocolate pack up front.

I have these finished gift card holders in my Etsy shop:  https://www.etsy.com/shop/CindyCreativeJourney

Or you can create them yourself with products from Funstampers Journey:  www.funstampersjourney.com/cindybristow

Beeautiful

Can't you just hear the bees buzzing around on this card?

I cased this card right out of the Fun Stampers Journey catalog, page 174 to be exact!  I fell in love with the dimension of the layers of honeycomb.

So when you fall into a creative slump, pick up your catalog and case away!

You are my Sunshine

I have a bright and sunny card to share with you today.

Aren't the colors cheerful?  This would be the perfect card to send to a friend who was feeling a little down.

I stamped the sentiment in three different colors and then cut and popped some of the key words to give more interest.

I used Copic markers to color the little girl.

Blessings

Today I am counting my Blessings.

Being a veteran and a military spouse is one of my biggest blessings.  I look back on my life and see so many life experiences that might not have happened if I had not raised my hand and volunteered to serve this great country that we have a privilege to call home.

I would have never met my wonderful Husband, lived life outside this country, made countless friends, seen most of the United States (there are a few in the middle still in my bucket list!), and turned into the confidant woman I am today.

All of these things have been blessings that fall from the sky like leaves in fall.
Happy Veterans Day!

Christmas Binder Clips

Binders are all the rage right now so I decided to create some Christmas Binder Clips. Aren't they stinking cute?!!!!   I am keeping a few in my stash to use as Stocking Stuffers.

I stamped the 3 Christmas images from Fun Stampers Journey set "Ugly Sweater" SS-0238 and colored them with Copic markers.

I cut each image out and adhered it to 1-3/4 scallop punch circle.  Then I took another scalloped circle adhered a paper clip with Score Tape.  The image scallop was then glued down on top to complete the clip.

I covered each scalloped circle with Journey Glaze to seal them and give the clip stability.

Only You

Today I wanted to play with the stinking cute images in the Cats and Dogs set, SS-0020.

stamped the Chihuahua with Black Licorice and used Fusion Blender with Bubble Gum, Oatmeal Cookie, Hazelnut Blend, and Lemon Grass re inkers.

The large heart and sentiment is from the Only You set, SS-0062 and the smaller hearts are from the Chick Magnet set, SS-0174.  I used the Yummy Dots embossing folder, EF-0010 and the Love Is punch, TO-0006.

Tea Time

Today I am sharing a card I made for a color challenge over at the Color Throwdown blog.   I used Fun Stampers Journey Sweet Pear, Rich Coral, and Journey Gold Embossing Powder with Clear Pigment ink.

I stamped the teapot and tea cup from the Tea Time set, SS 0080 with Clear Pigment ink and embossed it with Journey Gold embossing powder.  This was my first time using FSJ embossing powders, and I have to say "Wow!"  The fine details on my image came out very clear and detailed.  The sentiment is from the Branch Out set, SS-0140.

I Used Sweet Pear re inker, Rich Coral ink pad (I still need to complete my set of re inkers!), Oatmeal Cookie re inker(shading), River Stone re inker(shading) and Fusion Blender to color my Image.

I layered my Sweet Pear card base with a piece of Gold Striped vellum out of the Designer Vellum Prints paper pack.  The lace embellishment is from FSJ's Vintage Lace pack.  I felt that it needed a bit more gold for elegance so I used a thin gold ribbon from my stash.

Thank you Daisy

Hi everyone!  Today I felt like coloring so I pulled out my FSJ set"Hello Lovely" set SS-0192.  I didn't want to make your usual bright flower so I used Kerry's color Challenge for my palette.

I stamped the daisy with Denim Days Ink pad and took out my Fusion Blender, Pumpkin Bread re-inker, Pomagranate Splash ink pad, and my Green Olive ink pad.  I know some of you think I have  all of the Fun Stampers Journey catalog, but there are somethings still on my wish list- all of the re-inkers are just a few !!!!

I put a drop of Pumpkin Bread re-inker on one side of my block and then used my Pomagranate ink pad to ink the other corner of my block.  After that I added a few drops of Fusion Blender to help move my colors.  When you color with ink from the ink pad, you need to add several layers of color to get a deep color.

See how I added layers to get depth?  After I finished coloring my flower, I cut it out and started working on my background.  I used up the leftover ink and more Fusion Blender to create a watercolor effect on my background.

The sentiment is from the "Sentimental Prints" set- SS-0072.  I used the "Ink Splash" embossing folder- EF-0008 too add more depth.  Card base is Whip Cream and I layered with Denim Days.

November Kit of the Month

Happy November!!!  I can't believe how fast October flew by.  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend filled with little goblins and candy.

Today I wanted to share Fun Stampers Journey Kit of the Month.  You receive an Exclusive Stamp set (released to the public after 3 months), 4 precut projects, embellishments, and Full color directions all for a low price of 24.95.  The KOTM  is a 6 month commitment that you can stop after the time frame is up.  If you would like to stop before the 6 months, there is a 24.95 fee. The KOTM program is a wonderful for both seasoned stampers and beginning stampers.

If you are like me, you have been stamping for awhile and have settled into a "style" that you call your own.  I wasn't sure I would like the KOTM because I already have a style and know what I like.. boy was I surprised.  The KOTM introduces me to stamp sets I would have never bought and layouts I would never try, and guess what- I like it!!!!

If you are new to stamping, The KOTM is a great way to build your stamp stash and try different things.  It will introduce you to different styles of stamps and to different layouts.

Here is the link to my web page!  Click on the Kit of the Month Tab.
