Summer Blooms

Hello Creative Friends.

I think the sun is finally going to come out here in Southern Maryland!!! After over 14 days with rain, I am very excited about it, Whoo Hoo!!!

Today's card is bright a cheery just like sunshine.
 

 

I had a few kits left over from my Wednesday Make it Mini Party, so I put them to good use and make swaps for convention.  Isn't the layout fun?  It was one of the card layouts from May's Bloom Box.  That's what I love about getting the Bloom Box every month, not only do I get a brand new stamp set every month, it gives me great layouts ideas also!

I switched out the stamp set and used the "Summer Garden" set.  Who doesn't love a rose?  Along with using the layout, I also used the same re-inker colors to color my flowers.  Check out the Silver Silk drops, to me they just add that something extra to the card.

Bloom Box Fun with Friends

Hi Creative Friends.

Yesterday I had a few friends come over for a creative play date.  We all are members of the Fun Stampers Journey Bloom Box Monthly Kit Cub, so that's what we played with!
 

 

The Bloom Box makes it so easy to get together and create.  I just pulled out the ink pads and we went to town making 4 beautiful cards!  No one had to plan, cut or make up directions for our play date.

 

This card is my favorite from this month's kit.  It would be perfect for a Bridal shower or for a birthday party.   I just love the technique that was shared in the kit, to take your Whip Cream ink pad and a sponge and dab some ink behind the lantern to add a glow effect!  I know it is something we all have done, but it is so easy to forget how such an easy detail adds so much to a card.

 

The other plus with getting the Bloom Box is that now I have a brand new stamp set to play with!!!!  I have an idea for a scrapbook page using this Light up the Night stamp set, Wouldn't it be super cute as a garden party scrapbook page?!!!

Glass Blooms Get Well Soon

Today I am sharing another card from the February Bloom Box kit.  If you haven't signed up for the February kit, you still have time!!!  Other wise you will have to wait 3 months to create this Beautiful card!

I love how Richard used the stripes velum in this card!  I don't know about you, but I always struggle with what to do with velum.  Once I use it, I always love the effect it gives.

The rose bud stamp in this set is to die for!  Being a person who adores coloring,  I have visions of cards made with Ruby Red roses, Soft Pink Roses.... The possibilities are endless!

My Fun Stampers Journey Store

Two for Tuesday Glass Blooms

Wow, what a difference a day makes!  Yesterday we had 24 degrees and snow, today is 43 and rain!  Still not Spring, but I will take it!

I am going to start something new here on Tuesdays, something I like to call 2 for Tuesday.  I will take 1 stamp and show you 2 different cards using that same stamp.  

Yesterday I showed you this card from February's Bloom Box using the dragonfly stamp.  

Today I created this card using the same layout and a similar color scheme.  

I wanted to show you that you can copy the Bloom Box cards and only change the colors to create cards that are fast and easy when you need a card quick!

On the second card I created today, I used a totally different layout and color scheme.  It is still a quick and easy card!  I mask off a center strip, sponged 3 colors of coordinating ink; Pineapple Smoothie, Pretty Amethyst, and Lavender Fusion. 

 

 I removed the masking tape, stamped the sentiment  and dragonflies, flicked some Gold Silk, used my Gold Shimmer Splash to paint their wings and added Journey Glaze and Sparkle dust for extra shimmer.

Remember  that the Glass Blooms set is only available now in the February Bloom Box.  If you don't get it this month, you will have to wait 3 months until it is available to non Bloom Box members!

I woke up to 6" plus of snow today, so I thought," let's make it feel like spring!"  I pulled out my February Bloom Box and chose the dragonfly card to start with!
