Happy Mail Monday 5/22

Hello Creative Friends!
I woke up today in a motivated mood, got my to-do list written, and now I'm checking things off!  Whoo Hoo!!! Don't you love when you wake up like that?
So, one of the first things on my Monday list is also one of the best things on my list, Happy Mail Monday post!  Make sure you leave a comment either here on my blog, on Instagram (CindysCreativeJourney), or on my Face Book page (@ccreativejourney).

I tried out a fun technique RG showed us using the Rich Sorbet Pan Pastels.  I also used the darkest green from this set of Mother Nature Pan Pastels .  I covered the piece of Whip Cream cardstock with the Summer Days Pan Pastel, then I added the Kiwi Slice Pan Pastels and the Fresh Forest Pan Pastels to create that cool background.  To set the Pan Pastels, I sprayed it with aerosol hair spray.  I also used the Kiwi Slice Pan Pastel on a smaller scrap of Whip Cream.  I stamped the smallest turtle from the Turtley Awesome Bundle onto the smaller scrap with Black Licorice ink.  Then I also stamped the sea weed onto the larger piece of cardstock to create the background for my card.  The Hi There sentiment is stamped with Black Licorice onto a Vellum Circle and then layered onto a Summer Days Circle.

You gotta love our Silks!!! They add the perfect touch to your cards.  Here I used both the Gold Silk and the brand new Sparkle Silk on  the background.  I also painted it onto my turtle.  The gems are called Sea Stones, and you better grab 2 packages because you are going to love them that much!

Make sure to leave a comment to be entered into the Happy Mail Monday card, if your name is drawn, you can choose to send this card to a friend, or yourself!

Cindy

Happy Mail Monday 5/15

Hello Creative Friends.

It's Monday, so that means it's time for my Happy Mail Monday give away!!!  Leave a comment here or on any of my Social media sites (Facebook or Cindy'sCreativeJourney on Instagram) to win this card to send to a friend!

I mean, who wouldn't love to receive this bright card in the mail just to say hi?  She is just so stinking cute! and she makes me want to go to the islands!!!

I stamped the Palm Fronds (AT-0209)  with Kiwi Slice ink.  Then I grabbed the Let's Hula Bundle (BD-0148) and stamped the girl with Black Licorice ink and die cut her.  Don't you just love when the stamp set comes with matching dies?!!!  She is colored with Journey Color Burst Pencils (JM-0077)  and popped up on the circle die (DI-0039).

Don't forget to leave a comment for your chance to send this Happy Mail to your friend just to say "Hi"

Have an Amazing day!

Pretty Flakes

Hello Creative Friends.

Today's Christmas card is made with non-traditional colors.  I chose to use River Stone, Candy Apple, Oatmeal Cookie, and Whip Cream cardstock.  I just love how all of these colors work together.

The other thing that I love about this card is all the glittery goodness.  I used my white liner sheet on the Oatmeal cookie circle, dipped it into Sparkle Dust to use as a background for the largest snowflake.  All of the snowflakes are covered with Journey Glaze and given a dusting of Sparkle Dust.

Thanks for stopping by,
~Cindy~

Oh Ship!

Hello Creative Friends!

I don't know about you, but I am the worlds worst about making birthday cards in advance, but then not getting them in the mail on time!   Who's with me on this?!!! That's why I am in love with this saying from the "Anchor Me" set.

It is just so me!  And I love the sailboat image.  There are just so many possibilities, wouldn't it be so stinking cute for a baby card? Or a little boy's birthday party?!!!

I just love how you can ink up the "Star Frame" Elements to match what ever you are working on!  I sponged it with Catalina Splash ink, but could have totally inked it up with Whip Cream or Cranberry Bliss also!
Check out the dimension that I added by running my Oatmeal Cookie cs through my Journey Platinum using the "Beach Towel" embossing folder.**Love** this effect!

Thanks for stopping by and have an Amazing Day!

Sea Side Treasure

Hello Creative Friends!
My fab group of friends comes over today...love these ladies!!!  This week we are doing few nautical cards.

One if the sets we used was the Seaside Treasure set.  It brings back memories of sea shell hunting along the beach.

Can't you just feel the sun on your shoulders, the sand in your toes and the wind blowing through your hair?

Soon it will be warm enough to walk the beach barefoot, but until then I can daydream.

~Cindy~

2 for Tuesday: Dino-Mite

Hello Creative Friends!  It's time for 2 for Tuesday where I take 1 stamp set and show you 2 different cards I created with it.  This week's stamp set is "Dino-Mite"

The first card is for a boy's birthday.  You could carry on the theme and actually create an entire birthday celebration with it.  Can't you just see little treat bags with this adorable T-Rex on them?

But who said girls wouldn't like a dinosaur card?  My second card is created for the girl who is into dinosaurs and wants her birthday party to be dinosaur themed.  I can see a bunch of little girls running around with pink capes that have dinosaur spikes sewn down the back of them!

How cute is this?  By pairing Watermelon Fusion with Sweet Pear and Kiwi Slice , the whole set goes from a little boy theme to a girl theme.

Thanks for stopping by!
