Fun Stampers Journey Create a Pocket Letter with Cindy's Creative Journey

Yesterday on my Facebook Live Monday video, I tried my hand at creating a Pocket Letter.  I had never created a Pocket Letter before, so there where learning curves, like don't use washi tape as a hinge... other then that, it went pretty smooth.

 

 

Pocket letters are used by planner girls to send happy mail stuffed with all kinds of planner goodies like stickers, washi tape and paper clips.  As a card maker or scrapbooker, you could use it to send card candy, embellishments or even as a mini scrapbook.... and bonus, Fun Stampers Journey now has the new Envelo-Box die  you can mail this loaded Pocket Letter in!

 

Check out that cute little silver heart on the front- it's from the Heart Foils sticker pack that's on sale for $2.21 until March 31. 2018.

 

Once you open the card, you find a cute envelope, and 2 more pockets you can load with goodies.  I only put a few things in them, but they are ready to be filled with fun things.

Hey Honey Online Class with Cindy's Creative Journey

Hey Guys!

 

The Hey Honey Stamp set is one of my favorite sets in the Artisian category of Fun Stampers Journey's large catalog.    I wanted to share my love of this fun set with you by offering it as my April Online Class!

Fun Stampers Journey Summer Garden Color Play Date with Cindy's Creative Journey

Hi Guys! 

Yesterday was Thursday, so that means it was Color Play Date day!  I featured the Summer Garden stamp set and Journey Color Burst Pencils in my coloring process.  I colored the smaller rose image in 3 different color schemes, a yellow rose, a peace rose and a pink rose.

 

For the yellow rose, I used pencils 16 and 17.  For the peace rose, I used pencils 17,8, and 10.  For the pink rose, I used pencil 5.  If you missed the live video, I have uploaded it to YouTube.

Fun Stampers Journey Coffee Bar Canvas

Fun Stampers Journey Z-fold card by Cindy's Creative Journey

Hi Guys!

 

Happy first day of Spring!  Yesterday on my Facebook page, I did a live video on how to make a  Z-fold card.

 

 

To tell you the truth, this was the first time I actually had made a Z-fold card and it was super easy! 

 

I started with Rich Coral cardstock cut to 8-1/2 x 5-1/2.  You will need to score it at 4-1/4 and 2-1/8.  The strip of Beach Ball cardstock is 1 x 8-1/2.  You score this strip at 4-1/4 and 2-1/8 also.  Your pattern paper layers are cut to 1-7/8 x 5-1/4, and 4 x 5-1/4.

 

Here is a link to all of the stamps and patterned paper I used to create this card.  Make sure if you want the Yay stamp set or the patterned paper, you order it before March 30 when it retires.

Fun Stampers Birthday Song Canvas by Cindy's Creative Journey

Hi Guys!

 

I wanted to stop in and show you what we created this week in our classes, a beautiful canvas board décor item!

 

 

We started out with a canvas board that I purchased from Walmart, covered it with patterned paper and then aged it with Bubble Gum ink and Hazelnut ink.  It is amazing how different a piece looks when you add some ink to it!  Next we worked on our little blue bird, this image is from the Birthday Song Stamp Set.  I love the birds in this set and am so happy that it is still available.  We colored our bird using the Color Splash Pencils, which are our watercolor pencils.

 

Then we moved on to adding everything to our canvas boards.  The wooded filigree frame and the blue flowers are a Bloom Benefit.  What's a Bloom Benefit?  well, Fun Stampers Journey pays you to shop!!!  For every $50 you spend, you get to choose a Bloom Benefit.  The filigree frame is called Victorian Accent, and is a $100 Bloom Benefit.  I plan on stocking up on these because the go away at the end of June.

Color Play Date Deer Friends

Hi Guys.

 

Yesterday was the second official Color Play Date!  Whoo Hoo!!! We used the stamp set called, Deer Friends , which has a few precious animal images that are fun to color.

Mixed Media Cool Pool Tag

How many of you have tried mixed media?  If you are like me, you love the look, but are intimidated by all of the products you see when you go down the art aisle at your local craft store.   Yesterday I shared a mixed media tag video on my Facebook page, Cindy's Creative Journey.

Color Play Date Birthday Song
