Bountiful Thanks Stamp Set with Cindy Bristow

Hello Creative Friends,

It's been a rough week here in my Creative world.  I have been shocked, heart broken, mad and determined to make the right decision.  I have come to the determination that I joined Fun Stampers Journey for the wonderful products and the wide selection of choices and those are the reasons why I am staying with this company that I have grown to love.

Last night I spent some time doing what I love, and what relaxes me, Coloring!!!  I chose to pull out the horn of plenty from the Bountiful Thanks set.  Lots of coloring goodness to be had, and I immersed myself in the simple art of bringing this image to life.

You just have to love the rich colors that the Journey Color Burst pencils provide.  After I finished the image, I decided to let the colors speak for themselves and created a simple card around the image.

Thank you for stopping by, and have a wonderful weekend!
Cindy

Autum Days

Hello Creative Friends,

Fall is officially on us and I wanted to share some fall colors today.  Today's card is created with a Fun Stampers Journey set called "Autumn Days".  It is one of my favorites in the FSJ large catalog.

The background of this fast and easy card is created with another of my favorite background stamps, Canvas Prints.  Isn't the texture it creates just amazing?!!!

I created the leaves by using daubers and various ink pads that I listed below to cover a piece of Buttercream cardstock.  Then I stamped my leaves and die cut them with the matching die.  Love that we have dies to match our stamps!!! and the bonus is if you purchase them together, you get a bundle price!

I hope you enjoyed my share today and as always, have an Amazing day!
Cindy

Snow Friends Tags

Hello Creative Friends.

Have you seen the Snow Friends Bloom Benefit in the Journey Holiday Mini?  It is soooo stinking cute!!!  And get this, it is free with any $50 purchase from either catalog!

When I got my set of Snow Friends stickers, I knew exactly what I wanted to create with them, gift tags!!!  I started with a medium sized tag cut out of Kiwi Slice cardstock.  Stamped a few of the smaller sized snow flakes from the Winter Holiday set using Whip Cream ink.  I also used a dauber and the Whip Cream ink to distress the edges and make a snow bank for my Snow Friend.

I used a small scrap of Kiwi Slice to stamp the small tree with Fresh Forest ink and then die cut it.  The tree was popped up onto the right hand side of the tag.  Each Snow Friend is colored with Color Burst pencils and popped onto the tag.

As always, these tags and other hand made goodies are available over in my Etsy store.

Thanks for stopping by
Cindy

Witches Boot with Jack O Lanterns

Hello Creative Friends

Today I pulled out another favorite Fun Stampers Journey Halloween stamp set, Jack o Lanterns, and paired it with a fun FSJ die, Chubby Witches Boot.

I just love how the Jack O Lantern's faces are all separate from the pumpkins, that way you can mix and match the faces!  Check out those "floating" ghost faces I used in the background.

And the Chubby Witch Boot die is pretty versatile also!  Last year I cut two of them and sandwiched a box between them for fun table decoration.

Thank for stopping by,
Cindy

Designer Show Case Mixed Media Blog Hop

Hello Creative Friends and
Welcome to the first ever Designer's Showcase Blog Hop!

What is the Designer's Showcase?  We are a team of ten Journey Coaches from all over the country.  Fun Stampers Journey hand selected this group of coaches based on hand stamped submissions that we all sent in.  Our goal is to showcase the amazing products that Fun Stampers journey hast to offer and inspire you to create.

If you want to follow along in the blog hop you will find a link below to go on to the next Coach's blog or facebook page.  And at each blog you will find a link to the next, so you can see all of our creations and get to know the 2017-2018 Designer's Showcase team.

Let me tell you a little bit about me, my name is Cindy Bristow and I have been a Fun Stampers Journey Coach since November 2014.  I am one of the founding coaches with Fun Stampers Journey and a former member of the Leadership Team.  I also was a co-owner of a small stamping store and it was the wide variety of paper crafting product that convinced me to join Fun Stampers Journey.  I am also a proud Navy wife and mother to 3 grown children.  I love that I am able to take my job anywhere the Navy sends my husband and I.  I am blessed to have a job where I can create pretty things and share my joy of creating with you and my fellow Journey Coaches.

I created this cute 4 x 6 canvas using Fun Stampers Journey Mixed Media products and various patterned papers.
To start, adhered a layer of 1 x 1 patterned papers to my canvas, applied a thin layer of Journey Gesso.  Then I squirted a few small daubs of Pineapple Smoothie acrylic paint and Green Olive acrylic paint onto the canvas and swirled them around using a square paint brush.  Once my paint dried, I grabbed the Vintage Screen stencil, Journey Modeling Paste, and my spatula to add some random texture to the canvas.  Can you see all of the texture these first few steps added to the finished product?

After the journey Modeling Paste dried, I rub over it with some Journey Brushed Gold PanPastel just to give it some sparkle.... you know how I like my sparkle!  Then I squirted a spray of Citrus Cooler Splash and some water and let it run down my canvas.  After everything dried again, I inked the edges with a Dark Roast inkpad.  Using the same inkpad, I randomly stamped the Postage Stamps all over the canvas.  Then it was time to layer on all of the paper goodies!

The pumpkin is created using the 1-3/4 oval punch and Party Pop Prints paper.  Check out the Corrugated Stock strip!!! I love this stuff and it is one of my go to's when I want texture. Other one of my go to's is the Snapshot Frames Die, don't you just love that fall word up at the top?!!!  My final touch was adding the Silver Shavings as small accents around the canvas.

Thanks for stopping by,
Cindy
