Thanksgiving Card using FSJ Bountiful Thanks

Howdy Friends!  As September comes to a close, I am starting to think about all of the upcoming holidays.  Today's share is a card I made using the Bountiful Thanks Stamp set SS-0531

I love this set because of all the images there are to color in it.  You get a large cornucopia, and 4 smaller fall images along with 3 sentiments.  I used Oatmeal Cookie cs, Cocoa Powder cs, and Whip Cream cs for my card.  See that gold sparkly ribbon?  That is from the Boho Trim ribbon pack.

I used the Color Burst Pencils for all of my coloring.  The swatches I used are exclusive to my Coloring your Creative Journey group.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Fun Stampers Journey Eyes on You Scrapbook Embellishment pack

Earlier this week I shared a card I made using the Eyes on You Stamp Set SS-0590, today I wanted to share an embellishment pack made with the same set.

These monsters are to cute to resist!  The moment I saw this set, I knew I would make embellishments for a Monsters Inc scrapbook page with them.

I just love this blue furry guy and would take a hug from him any day.  And this green guy- I mean who could resist to cute little nerdy monster?!!!

Do you think I should list this set in my Etsy shop?

Fun Stampers Journey Skeletons Dance Scrapbook Embellishments

How many of you scrapbook?  I love making all the cute little embellishments that go onto scrapbook pages.  Today I wanted to share some that I created using the Skeletons Dance Stamp and Die set, BD-0425.  This little dancing skeleton is way to cute.

I mean, who wouldn't love this little guy?!!  I paired him with a traditional Halloween color scheme, Black Licorice, Tangerine Orange, and Deep Lilac cardstock.
I wanted to make a festive banner for my scrapbook page, so I grabbed the 1-1/4" Pennant Punch and the 1-1/2" Pennant Punch .  I just love how easy these punches make everything.

I also used the 2" scalloped punch and circle punches for the other 2 embellishments.  Remember the Boo from yesterday's post?  Guess what?  I used it again along with the bat from the Snapshot Frames Die DI-0045.  I use this die all the time for creating holiday embellishments.

To finish everything off, I added a coat of Journey Glaze to the bat and the boo, love that shiny gloss look it gives to the finished product.

Fun Stampers Journey Eyes on You Halloween Card

Have you started getting ready for Halloween?
I just started making my Halloween cards and wanted to share the first one I created using the Eyes on You Stamp, SS-0590.  Isn't this little guy to adorable?!!!

He reminds me of some of the monsters from Monsters Inc., so I wanted to make a fuzzy friendly kind of card.  I chose Electric Lime as my card base- oh- and by the way did you know that all Card Stock and Ink Pads are 20% off till the end of September!  My second layer was Cosmic Grape.  I just love the Be Amazing colors for this card.

To make the fun background, I grabbed one of the small flowers centers from the Spring Bouquet stamp set, SS-0343 and a few of my Be Amazing ink pads and stamped a random pattern of splats all over the Whip Cream panel.  I created the door by cutting a small rectangle and then adding 4 smaller rectangles with inked edges.  The Boo is die cut from the SnapShot Frames die set DI-0045 out of Cosmic Grape card stock.  I layered 2 daisy flowers from the Cottage Bloom die set DI-0437 to create the splat behind the Boo.

Fun Stampers Journey Flower Tangle

Yay, It's Friday!!!
Something about Fridays makes everything feel bright and cheerful.  Today's share is a card that would make anyone feel cheerful.  I used the Flower Tangle stamp, SS-0617 stamped on Whip Cream cardstock  with Black Licorice ink.

I just love this stamp because you can choose your color pallet for what ever season or mood you are in.  This particular pallet was suggested by my sister, Shirley, and she found it on Pinterest.  When I find a color pallet I like, I pull out my Color Burst Pencils and start combining colors till I get a match for the color I am trying to create.  If you love to color as much as I do, you have to get these pencils!  They are a bit pricey but well worth the money.

I used 4 different color swatches for this particular card.  The yellow flowers are colored with a swatch I called Cone Flower and is created by layering pencil #16 and #10 together.  When you use a light touch with these pencils and layer the colors, the effects are stunning.

If you are into coloring, have purchased the Color Burst Pencils, and would like to learn how to use them and create your own swatch book, you might want to join my online subscription group called Coloring Your Creative Journey.  For less then $10 a month, you get 4 new color swatches (and maybe a few more!!), 4 live videos, and tips to help you get the most out of your Color Burst Pencils.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Fun Stampers Journey Be Kind Fall Colors

I am still trying to get into the fall spirit down here in South Texas... it's a bit hard when it is still sunny and 90 plus, but I am trying!  I decided to pull out my favorite AT stamp, Be Kind.  I mean what is not to love about this flower?!!!

To make it feel like fall, I chose to use a few of my color swatches from my Coloring your Creative Journey Subscription Class.  The names of these swatches are Calipso Blue, Summer Wheat, Burnt Sienna, and Toasted Wheat.  To me they look like late summer, early fall.

After I colored and cut out the flower, I used a card base of Pool Play cs, layered it with a Oatmeal Cookie piece of cs that I had run through my Platnuim machine using  the Beach Towel Embossing Folder.  See all those cute little piercing holes?  Thats a die cut from the Pocket Cuts Die set.

I chose the sentiment from another one of my favorites in the Big Catalog,  Cottage Bouquet stamp set.  To finish my card, I embellished it with Dark Roast Silk, Meadow Flower pearls, Natural Twine and some of the crochet lace from the Boho Trim package.

Hope your day is perfect!
Cindy

Spreading Love with FSJ

This weekend I got to spend a few hours in my craft room.  Slowly but surely everything is finding a home as I figure out where to put my stash.  While I was unpacking, I found my folder of images that I colored during our move, so to reward all of the time I spent unpacking, I let myself create a bit.

I just love this rose swirl from the Flower Swirls stamp and die set.  On this card I paired it with the Ink Spot AT to create a interesting background.  The Spread Love sentiment comes from the Spread Love stamp set.  I also used one of my Bloom Bloom Benefits, the pink gems from the All Things added just the right ending for my card.

It was so relaxing to spend time creating, so I promised myself that I would take the time to create something each day.

Happy Creating,
Cindy
