Take a Hike

Happy Wednesday Creative Friends!

Today I am sharing a card I made for masculine challenge.  I pulled out my Fun Stampers Journey Adventure Section Stamps to see which stamp sets I had available.  There are so many cool masculine sets available in the new catalog, it was hard to choose just one!

I decided on the Scenic View Stamp set, https://shop.funstampersjourney.com/MemberToolsDotNet/ShoppingCartv3/ProductDetail.aspx?CatalogueID=212&ProductID=19489&PartyID=0&PartyGuestID=0&ReferringDealerID=344
I ended up cutting a few of the stamps apart because I wanted to just use a section of the image.  Notice the mountain range?  That was one of the stamps I cut.... it had a sentiment attached and I just wanted the mountains!
I shadowed stamped the mountains in 3 different colors- Sweet Pear, Lemon Grass, and Kiwi Slice.  I love the 3-D look it gives to the card.  I also used a sentiment from the Text Happy stamp set,  https://shop.funstampersjourney.com/MemberToolsDotNet/ShoppingCartv3/ProductDetail.aspx?CatalogueID=212&ProductID=19360&PartyID=0&PartyGuestID=0&ReferringDealerID=344  .  I am in love with this sentiment set.  It has so many cool sayings- something for everything!

The last touch was the Hiker- I cut this stamp apart also, it has a cool set of boot prints I can think of a ton of other uses for.  I carried on the 3-D effect by stamping the mountains behind him also.

I hope this masculine card inspires you to pull out your stamps and play!

Teacup Sailing

I have always been a fan of the House Mouse characters and I have challenged myself to start using my collection horde more often!  This week I colored  the Teacup Sailing stamp.
Teacup sailing was surprisingly easy to color.  Aside from the Copics for each of the mice, I only used 10 other colors, and most of them were straight coloring, not blending.
Notice the clouds, I used a mask to create this effect.  I keep thinking about buying the airbrush system, but just can't justify the cost.... does anyone out here in blogland have the airbrush system?  If you do, let me know how you like it!

Get your Creative on!

ATC Snail Mail Group

I'm a member of a Facebook Group called ATC Snail Mail Swappers, basically it's a round robin type of swap.  You are broken up into groups of 3 swappers and each person adds their touch to a ATC.  ATC stands for Artist Trading Card.

This time I was the #2 person, so I got to add the image to the Artist Trading Card.  I love being the #2 person in this group!

I chose to add one of the yummy cakes from the "To You" stamp set, SS-0083, and cut it out with the matching die," To You Die" DI-0075.  Then I pulled out my Copics and started to color.  Have I mentioned that I love to color?
The final touch I added was this small circle tag that I stamped with one of the sayings from "Tag Elements"  AT-0130 and embellished it with the small flourishes from the "Banner Party" set
SS-0009.   If anyone is interested in joining these Snail Mail ATC groups, message me and I can get you in touch with the group!

 Love Paris....

Guess what showed up in my Mailbox Saturday?  It was the Love Paris Die set I ordered!!!!  I finally got to pull it out and play with it this morning!

I decided to participate in a few challenges,  one of them was the July sketch challenge over at the Creative Blooms blog, http://www.creativebloomsjourney.blogspot.com/  .  I loved playing with the Pennants Die set to add the banner across the top of this card.
The other challenge was to use the Fun Stampers Journey new coloring system.  We have a new Fusion Blending solution that you use with our re-inkers and our great new water brushes.
I love how everything color coordinates when you use FSJ products!  I added some Journey Glaze and Glitter for some extra Bling!
