Let me tell you a little bit about me, my name is Cindy Bristow and I have been a Fun Stampers Journey Coach since November 2014. I am one of the founding coaches with Fun Stampers Journey and a former member of the Leadership Team. I also was a co-owner of a small stamping store and it was the wide variety of paper crafting product that convinced me to join Fun Stampers Journey. I am also a proud Navy wife and mother to 3 grown children. I love that I am able to take my job anywhere the Navy sends my husband and I. I am blessed to have a job where I can create pretty things and share my joy of creating with you and my fellow Journey Coaches.
To start, adhered a layer of 1 x 1 patterned papers to my canvas, applied a thin layer of Journey Gesso. Then I squirted a few small daubs of Pineapple Smoothie acrylic paint and Green Olive acrylic paint onto the canvas and swirled them around using a square paint brush. Once my paint dried, I grabbed the Vintage Screen stencil, Journey Modeling Paste, and my spatula to add some random texture to the canvas. Can you see all of the texture these first few steps added to the finished product?
After the journey Modeling Paste dried, I rub over it with some Journey Brushed Gold PanPastel just to give it some sparkle.... you know how I like my sparkle! Then I squirted a spray of Citrus Cooler Splash and some water and let it run down my canvas. After everything dried again, I inked the edges with a Dark Roast inkpad. Using the same inkpad, I randomly stamped the Postage Stamps all over the canvas. Then it was time to layer on all of the paper goodies!
The pumpkin is created using the 1-3/4 oval punch and Party Pop Prints paper. Check out the Corrugated Stock strip!!! I love this stuff and it is one of my go to's when I want texture. Other one of my go to's is the Snapshot Frames Die, don't you just love that fall word up at the top?!!! My final touch was adding the Silver Shavings as small accents around the canvas.
